At the end of the 90’s/beginning of the 00’s there was a new wave of nerdy, kind of hyppies weird experimental rap that was an “alternative” for those who were looking for something else than what “commercial rap” was at that time. I was one of them…

One of the main crew of that movement was Anticon. Deconstructed rap, people really into crate-digging (finding THE rare, never sample vinyl) and rappers with flow that were going in direction they don’t usually go.

This kind of rap still exist even if it’s less popular than it was and I found this new free mixtape(you have to give your email) by one of my favorite band of the time, Themselves( Dose & Jel).
